From 6 to 15 May 2025, ENO Greece proudly participated as a partner in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “YOUth Driving Change”, hosted by Euro-Med EVE Italy in the beautiful city of Agrigento, Sicily.
The project brought together young people from Italy, Greece, Spain, Romania, Hungary, and Poland, creating a vibrant multicultural environment where participants learned, collaborated, and grew together. Through a rich programme based on non-formal education, they explored what it means to become active leaders capable of driving positive change in their communities.
During the exchange, participants developed key competences in leadership, communication, public speaking, teamwork, and active citizenship through interactive workshops, role-playing activities, simulations, group discussions, peer learning, and intercultural dialogue. The project encouraged young people to step outside their comfort zones, strengthen their self-confidence, and discover the power of cooperation across cultures.
A particularly meaningful moment of the project was the celebration of Europe Day on 9 May. Bringing together young people from six different European countries, the project offered the perfect setting to reflect on the values that unite us as Europeans: peace, solidarity, democracy, inclusion, and cooperation. Through dedicated activities and intercultural exchanges, participants celebrated Europe’s rich diversity while recognising the importance of working together to build a more united, inclusive, and resilient future. Europe Day became more than a celebration—it was a lived experience of the Erasmus+ spirit, where cultural differences became opportunities for learning, friendship, and mutual understanding.
Beyond the educational programme, the Youth Exchange created lasting friendships and meaningful international connections. Participants shared their traditions, challenged stereotypes, exchanged perspectives, and returned home with new ideas, greater self-confidence, and the motivation to become active changemakers in their local communities.
For ENO Greece, participating in YOUth Driving Change was another important step towards empowering young people through international learning opportunities and promoting the values of active citizenship, lifelong learning, and European cooperation. We are proud of our participants for representing Greece with enthusiasm, commitment, and openness throughout the project.
