From 17 to 23 April 2026, two youth workers representing EN.O Greece participated in the international Erasmus+ seminar “Impact in Action – Evaluating and Strengthening Inclusive Youth Work Practices”, held in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, and hosted by EUROMED Italia.
The five-day seminar brought together partner organisations involved in Erasmus+ Youth activities and created a dedicated space for reflection, evaluation, peer learning and strategic development. Its focus was not simply on looking back at previous mobility experiences, but on examining their actual impact, identifying good practices and exploring how learning outcomes can be transferred into everyday youth work and sustained over time.
Throughout the programme, participants worked together to reflect on the impact of previous Youth Exchanges and Training Courses, examine how competences developed through mobility experiences are applied in practice, exchange approaches to inclusive youth work and identify areas where organisational practices can be further strengthened.
A central element of the seminar was the connection between individual learning and organisational development. Participants were encouraged to critically reflect on existing youth work practices, assess approaches to inclusion and quality, learn from the experiences of other organisations and translate this learning into concrete actions that can contribute to longer-term organisational and community impact. These priorities directly reflected the seminar’s objectives of consolidating good practices, strengthening quality standards and inclusive approaches, reinforcing strategic cooperation and ensuring the sustainability of Erasmus+ results.
For EN.O Greece, the participation of our youth workers in international learning opportunities is an important part of our commitment to continuous quality development.
Youth workers play a crucial role in creating meaningful learning environments, supporting young people’s participation and ensuring that activities respond to different needs and realities. Providing them with opportunities to learn, exchange experiences, reflect on their practice and develop their competences therefore contributes directly to the quality and inclusiveness of the opportunities we offer to young people.
Participation in Impact in Action enabled our representatives to bring the perspective and experience of EN.O Greece into an international peer-learning environment, while at the same time bringing back new perspectives, practices and reflections that can feed into our organisation’s future youth work activities.
The seminar also provided an important opportunity to reinforce cooperation among organisations working with young people across Europe. Participating organisations represented Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Türkiye, Croatia and Malta, creating a diverse environment for exchanging experiences, challenges and approaches to youth work.
Beyond individual learning, such spaces contribute to stronger and more sustainable partnerships, allowing organisations to learn from one another and explore how their cooperation can continue to generate meaningful results beyond individual mobility activities.
We believe that the value of international mobility becomes even stronger when individual learning is transferred back to the organisation and transformed into better practices and better opportunities for young people. We are therefore pleased to continue investing in the development of our youth workers and in European cooperation that supports quality, inclusion, participation and long-term impact in youth work.
