From 23 June to 1 July 2025, our Youth group took part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Rhythms of Inclusion”, hosted in Agrigento, Italy.
The project brought together young people from Greece, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary, creating a vibrant multicultural environment where participants could connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.
“Rhythms of Inclusion” focused on promoting social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and youth empowerment through the universal language of dance. By combining traditional and contemporary dance styles with non-formal education methods, the project created a safe and dynamic space for expression, creativity, and participation.
Participants engaged in a variety of activities including team-building exercises, group work, discussions, and creative workshops, all designed to strengthen key competences such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and self-confidence.
Dance played a central role in the exchange, acting as a powerful tool to break down barriers and foster understanding between cultures. Through movement, participants were able to express emotions, share experiences, and build meaningful connections beyond language differences.
The project also emphasized inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that all participants, regardless of background or experience, could actively engage and feel part of the group.
For the Greek team, the experience was both enriching and transformative. Participants not only developed new skills and competences, but also built lasting friendships and gained a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity.
The exchange encouraged young people to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new perspectives, and become more active and engaged citizens.
Projects like this provide young people with valuable opportunities to grow personally and professionally while promoting shared European values.
