The Erasmus+ project “Sustainable Bodies” officially began with its kick-off meeting, which took place in Castelló, Spain, on 29–30 November 2024, hosted by the coordinating organization Associació Cultural Tabalà.
The meeting brought together partners from Spain, Greece, and the Czech Republic, marking the beginning of a collaborative journey focused on promoting sustainable, inclusive, and informed approaches to personal and intimate hygiene among young people.
During the two-day meeting, partners had the opportunity to get to know each other, align their expectations, and establish the foundation for effective cooperation throughout the project. The discussions focused on the project’s objectives, methodology, timeline, and the roles and responsibilities of each partner.
In addition to the working sessions, participants took part in a series of study visits and experiential activities, gaining valuable insights into local good practices. These included visits to:
- Casa de les Dones, a space dedicated to gender equality and community support
- Herboristeria Essències, showcasing natural and sustainable products
- Argelagues, an initiative promoting ecological and responsible practices
A highlight of the meeting was the implementation of a local workshop on personal and intimate hygiene at CIPFP La Costera, where partners had the opportunity to observe and reflect on educational approaches in practice. This experience contributed to a shared understanding of how to engage young people in meaningful discussions around sustainability, health, and well-being.
Overall, the kick-off meeting set a strong foundation for the project, fostering collaboration, exchange of ideas, and a shared vision among partners. It marked the beginning of a joint effort to develop educational tools, raise awareness, and empower young people to adopt more sustainable habits.
The partnership now moves forward with the next phases of the project, aiming to create impactful results and contribute to a more conscious and environmentally aware generation.
