LET’S GET GREENER YOUTH EXCHANGE!
From June 17th to June 25th, the EN.O Greece Youth Team participated in an inspiring Erasmus+ project in Agrigento, Sicily. Young people from Greece, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Türkiye, and Poland united to tackle the biggest environmental challenges of 2024 using non-formal education methods.
🔥 Our Focus: Environmental Awareness
Understanding the Issues: Participants explored key environmental problems, learning to calculate personal ecological footprints and delving into the EU Green Deal. They engaged in lively debates about pressing environmental issues, gaining valuable insights into sustainable practices.
Teamwork & Innovation: Youngsters employed various digital tools to minimize paper usage and collaborated on creating original songs to raise awareness about environmental issues. Their creativity and teamwork resulted in impactful messages for change.
🌍 Activities & Learning Experiences:
Workshops & Discussions: Through interactive workshops, participants examined critical environmental issues and shared innovative solutions. A special guest from the Plasticfree organization enriched the experience with insights on combating plastic pollution.
Digital Campaign: Inspired by their findings, participants launched a digital awareness campaign, “Green Earth Guardians” (Instagram), designed entirely from scratch. Their collective efforts culminated in a short movie, highlighting their journey and message (YouTube).
🎉 Cultural Exchange:
Evenings were vibrant with cultural nights celebrating diverse traditions, foods, and dances, fostering intercultural dialogue and understanding among participants.
🎓 Celebrating Achievements:
The project concluded with a Youthpass ceremony, celebrating participants’ dedication and growth. Feedback was gathered to enhance future projects, ensuring continued success and impact.
